As in past year, the GVBA will continue to provide benefits to its members and allied horse groups which include:

  • GVBA website available for members directly or through links
  • 5% discount at Cornell University Veterinary Hospital
  • Sponsorship of the annual August Horse Fair (Avon, NY) with reduced entry fees for members.
  • Day at FLRT including a barbeque
  • Sponsorship of equine scholarships (2)
  • Annual meeting and awards dinner held in November.
  • Free newsletter providing information and articles including: stallion listings, calendar of horse events
  • Clinic and seminar information on horse related issues
  • Monitoring and lobbying the New York State Legislature on horse related topics.
  • Promotion of quality racing in New York.
  • Annual GVBA owner/breeder/trainer award to the highest money earner of locally bred horses at Finger Lakes Race Track
  • Interaction with the New York Thoroughbred Breeders.
  • Member discount in the National Thoroughbred Racing Association purchasing program
  • Membership mailing list to announce area horse related activities.
